The Brennereicharakter is not mine. This sweet-sour component makes him a loner and you have to like it. The nose looks incredibly artificial and more reminiscent of a shower gel than a whisky - 09.12.2017
    • Nose
Sweet-sour, fermented fruit, cider, pomelo, grapefruit, perfumed, wax, moist newsprint
    • Taste
Here again, the sweet and sour note, slightly watery texture, dark bread, cereals, floral, pine, black pepper, oak, honey

very lemon-rich young malt interchangeable and not very exciting - I see no reason to spend more than 35 € for such a malt
    • Nose
artificial sweet and sour note, cheesy and fermented, with more time in the glass it becomes cleaner, a little bit of wax, spicy intensive West Coast flavor, lemon, beautiful oak, roasted cereal, a bit dusty, cardboard box,
    • Taste
Citrus, sour fresh vinous prickle on the tongue, mint wax, creamy, spicy light oak, increasingly sweet, furniture polish, tenderly bitter, if you chew it for a while - cookie dough.
    • Finish
Oak, tree juice, pepper, citrus - medium if the sip was not too small

  5. St. Pauli scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

If you give this time, it leaves you with a pleasant and fresh dram.
    • Nose
Young and fruity. Pear drops, some baby vomit and sweaty cheese. Later, the off notes vanish for the largest part, giving way to a candy shop smell of icing sugar, candied peach and candied strawberry.
    • Taste
Maltier than on the nose, and also a little fresher and citric. Danish pastry, citrus, grass, vanilla cream, icing sugar and a bit of wood spice.
    • Finish
Creamy and fresh, like a lime sherbet. Further, yogurt, cookie dough, confectionery, vanilla and a little wood spice.

Sweet and sour notes. Quite some citrus. Some marzipan and fresh cutted wood. A bit of an immature nose.

Sweet and sour, a little chalky, a bit dusty. Then a hint of cirtus. Also some grassy notes

medium length. Grassy, some fresh wood notes, a bit dry and tannic. The citrus notes come up after a while.

Don't pay more than €40,- or so. It is a nice discontinued bottle, but everything above is speculation

All the flora and fauna are decent.

A these times a 10yo was normal. I would prefer an older one. The spirit has a lot of potential, but should have left for at least 6 more years.
