    • Nose
Chocolate, coffee, ripe fruits, plums, oranges, some spices.
    • Taste
Milk chocolate, plums, raisins, spices and some wood.
    • Finish
Very long, always the same markers, with maybe a little more fruit.

A real nice and well done sherry cask whisky from Glendronach which is better than the usual once but not a masterpiece. For me the finish and the malt itself is great but the dry influence is not my favorite...
    • Nose
Excellent nose with a lot of sherry but quite dry. The cocoa powder is quite dominant and I have cherry and oranges. The alcohol is tickling the nose. All in all a great nose and start in this dram!
    • Taste
Milk chocolate, a lot of cherries, oranges, honey, cocoa, grapes

The level of the nose can be kept and the whisky is still showing its great quality!
    • Finish
Quite dry finish where a lot of cocoa powder remains in the throat. Quite nice!

I am generally a little shy about the "monsters" of sherry but this one really conquered me. Thanks to Jack for the sample.
    • Nose
The classic olfactory markers of sherry are present with a certain delicacy: cooked fruits including many oranges, dried fruits and oleaginous, spices (pepper), light oak.
    • Taste
Beautiful notes of cooked fruits (plums, figs) including a remarkable declination of oranges (compote, jam, zest). Also included spicy notes superbly dosed (pepper, ginger, cinnamon, clove) and black cocoa. In addition, a touch of grass (wild mint) almost liquorice adds a fresher complementary dimension that arouses enthusiasm. It is ultimately much more complex than it seems at first glance.
    • Finish
Long, on spicy oranges and some old pipe tobacco having been in a wooden chest.

light amber color, nose moderately marked by sherry for a Glendro, on chocolate, fig, orange, raisin, plum, lots of tobacco, menthol, lots of spices. Very dry mouth, slightly thick texture, powerful, a little austere but a lot of complexity, as with the nose a lot of tobacco and spices, chocolate, coffee, dried fruits, but not too many nuts. Even more fruity with water. Very good length. A Glendro very complex but lacks a little charm for my taste.

Just gorgeous. Hard to compare with other sherry bombs I had in this
price range. Compared to the boldness of a Benrinnes 23, this is more
    eloquent and balanced. Highly recommended!

Sweet raisins, heavily sugared espresso, saw dust, melted milk chocolate, and overripe figs. Even after being subjected to air, it retains its full range of ripe fruits. Now with a little incense and juicy oranges as well perhaps. If you nose it carefully, it exhibits rather brandy or cognac-like qualities. Holding your noggin in a little
deeper brings you back into the sherried oakiness of well-aged malt whisky. Quite enjoyable! With a drop of water it turns a little darker. The chocolate becomes less milky, the fruits more rum-infused. Odd, but cool!
    • Taste

Rather sweet arrival, with a minor sourness imparted in there somewhere.
Orange liqueur, sweet oak, chocolate, and plums. Very classic Glendronach IMO. With a drop of water it turns more lively. Sweet raisiney goodness!
    • Finish
      92 92
Long and drying. Departs with even more figs, more plums, and sweet tannins.

    Producer`s tasting notes:

Colour: Dark crimson crowned by gold.Nose: Delicate waves of cracked black pepper and distant cardamom pod spice the honey drizzled orchard fruits and toasted barley.

Palate: A classic, fine sherry character. Sultanas, rasisns and sweet plum syrup combine with complementing waves of freshly cut herbs and sweet oak spices.
