- Lovely Glendronach at just the age of 11! Great price.
Lots of nuts on the nose. Walnuts and hazelnuts. Raisins, brown sugar and fudge. Cooked apples with cinnamon.
Again a lot of nuts, but more integrated with dried fruit. Think of trail mix. Also almonds and chocolate. Cake, caramel and vanilla. Raisins again.
A little bit dry. The age shows its younger self. Cacaobeans and nuts.
Nice and decent Glendronach. Sweet sherry, but rather hardy and nutty. There is some almond and roasted peanuts. Besides that there is some leather and a touch of varnish.
Quite drinkable for a 50+%ABV. It has a sweet and round taste, with tad fruitiness and a hint of citrus. But overall it is the sherry influence which is rather clear. The oloroso influence is clear. It is more on the nutty and hardy side.
Good: full and creamy
Medium-long length. There is a rather fresh hint, but overall it is a decent sherry influenced finish.
currently €100+ which is extreme.
Don't know this was a sample.
- Definitely not a break-out Glendronach for me, but remarkably mature for 11 years, as well as different to the usual sherry bombs. Can always count on good ol` Oloroso butts to spice it
Immediately kind of dirty. Heavy meat notes. Roasted pork doused in sherry. Chocolate plum sauce over black forest ham? Deep and dark – remarkable for 11 years. Very dry arrival. Dates, dusty caramel, and menthol drops. With water: slightly more sweetness arrives with bitter oranges and rhubarb compote, custard pie and crème brûlée. Nice!

Medium-long. Herbal and tannic, with caramelized olives and espresso.
- Colour: Very dark for only 11 years.
Nose: It's a bit thin, so I'm getting some nuts, oloroso. With more time some plum marmalade, a hint of christmas spices.
Body: Unbelievable how many nuts are arriving on the tongue, combined with bitterness. Kakao, coffee beans. The last one is a killer for me - in a negative way unfortunately.
Finish: The slight bitterness persists for quite a long time. Also very dry tongue.
I'm a bit disappointed since there are way better casks vom Glendronach in this age. I guess it's typical for Oloroso casks.
- Great performance for a young Glendronach. Surprisingly easy to drink at 57.2%.
