I'm actually pretty impressed by these Lost Distillery bottlings. I think the blenders are pretty skilled. They get some sort of antique flavor out of the blends somehow.
    • Nose

Apples and oranges. I do detect some young whisky in there but it's masked fairly well. I actually detect some older stuff too - spicy oak.
    • Taste
      87 87
Sweeter, spicy. Oranges again. Apples, slight bitter chocolate. Marshmallow.
    • Finish
      83 83
Younger stuff coming through here but not bad. Very spicy. Apples and spice.

    • Nose
Emphasizes malty and nutty. Almond purée, some candied orange and in the background flower honey, vanilla and ginger. Is getting fresher and hay-like. Maybe also porridge and hot milk?
    • Taste
Surprisingly gushy start with ginger, malt, candied lemon and orange, blossom honey, almonds and slightly floral notes. Later peppery but with oily-sooty heaviness.
    • Finish
Long, spicy, malty, hay and a hint of mint.

good stuff again, perhaps one point more than the auchnagie although the auchnagie is more drinkable.

    • Nose
just had the auchnagie and liked it quite much.
this one goes into the same direction. malt, caramel, vanilla, apples, nuts  and a very thin thread of smoke.not as mineral as the auchnagie but a bit sweeter.
    • Taste
good, slightly smoky attack, very far away from islay. very nutty and slightly oaky. not as sweet as expected. and you can find everything we had on the nose plus some humus.
    • Finish
      rather dry but pleasantly so.

Tasted at a Malt Mongers Israel evening.

This one had a very interesting mix of lighter and more intense fruity notes along with some mineral smoke, which I found very intriguing. I liked it quite a bit.
