    • Nose
strong sherry; sweet molasses; citrus; fruity citrus note clearly in the foreground; would even say that there is a hint of vanilla
    • Taste
Sherry; slightly spicy hot; Lemon; Herbs; beautiful, dark oak; then again citrus-fresh; fruity; again herbs; then suddenly leather; Oak rounds off beautifully, delicately tart and chocolaty; very elegant; the sharpness settles and he becomes mild and round
    • Finish
Oak; Cinnamon; dark chocolate; again citrus; then herbs again. Leather again and again. Wow, very interesting. Overall, very balanced and exciting.

This GlenDronach is some kind of herbal Allardice. Quite an interesting combination of oloroso sherry and this herbal punch.Concerning price/performance ratio: 8/10
    • Nose
Oloroso sherry, rasins, plums, dried red fruits, oak gets dominant with a herbal touch.
    • Taste
Oloroso sherry, dark and red dried fruits, plums, some leather, some cloves, again a lot of herbs.
    • Finish
Medium to long. Dry dark chocolate and dark fruits, leather and dominant oak.

very independent Glendronach - blind I would have him. not even recognized as such because of the dominant mint - where you usually find ginger and the initially quite tart nose - I perceive something unpleasant - but completely fled - at the issue price, I would have given him for sure - the collector's prices, he is not worth me ,
    • Nose
First, a tart herb note with resin and some bitterness from the glass - not very tasty - which spontaneously makes me think of a Ben Nevis, behind it is heavy, old, concentrated Sherry sweetness, vanilla, balsamic, wood barrel acid, old strong oak , Tannins ... when it is longer, the slightly stinking herbal aroma disappears from the beginning and beautiful fruity sour cherry aromas, strawberry jam, burned match with slight sulfur notes, ripe peaches, round red plums, especially the plums have very fruity fresh sour flavors, in addition a light cinnamon note,
    • Taste
Mint, resinous herbs (rosemary, thyme, a hint of cannabis) sweet ripe cherries, plums, cinnamon, a little clove, the oak is always there - always in the background - voluminous, flattering, but never dominant, alcohol is imperceptible - the mint is but very intense, always perceptible, cooling, fresh, different - a little like a cough / sore throat gummy bear with cherry and menthol - but delicious. Very dark fruits, multi-layered, based on oak, fruit notes and acid / sweet balance - exciting, complex
    • Finish
Mint at 48% - cooling and warming at the same time, beautiful mild fruit notes - which first the sweetness escapes before they fade sour, sparkling dry oak, still a slight herbal resin note / tree juice / tannins - very long, almost eternal and intense

Nose: Contrary to expectations, sweet towards toffee / caramel with a little vanilla, behind it a lot of milk chocolate with sour cherries. An association with tobacco does not get out of my head, which I like very much. He has more mature nose than 16 years.
Palate: Less sweet than the nose suggests. A pleasant tingling sensation makes itself wide in the mouth as well as old, fruity sherry. Everything rather the direction fruity / sour or spicy as sweet. Overall, the oak shows relatively fast, which I really like. Also comes back to me a leather / tobacco note in mind. The finish is a slight residual sweetness with dark chocolate, but I tend not tend to coffee.
Reminds me at first of a diluted 1993 Single Cask Oloroso Sherry Butt I enjoyed in Scotland in a bar. Of course not with the power of a cask strength but it is really excellent.
