Whisky Reviews for Glen Elgin 1975 ED
7 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.77 points
- A pretty and rather delicate Glen Elgin marked by beautiful minty notes.
Overripe fruits, vegetables, honey, discreet orange liquor, sweet spices. It's round, hot and melted but still lively.
The palate is very sweet, on exotic fruits more than ripe, beautiful grassy notes (eucalyptus), honey all flowers, sweetness and bitter oranges.
The finish is medium but elegant on a herbal and sweet register and ends with a minty touch.
- Nose: It makes me think of the Japanese wooden sandal, with a sock! (Eh ... sorry, that's what came to the idea by sniffing it ^^). Old petrified fruits, a little dust.
Palate: Quite bitter, woody; leather and black tea.
Finale: Fondue on the wood.
