The nose alone made me happy. What a delicious sweet tropical fruit, instantly recognizable as littlemill. Lychees, pineapple, galia melon. Medium finish. Fairly straightforward but still a wonderful lm enjoyment.

Tropical glue with a layer of honey. But really it’s all about the tropical fruit. When you haven’t tasted Littlemill in a while it’s always beautiful reminder of what a crazily tropical liquid they made around this time. How did they make these flavours?!

Without complexity but easy and pleasant.
    • Nose
Guava/pineapple nose. Floral on orange blossom, herbaceous on eucalyptus.
    • Taste
Tropical palate: banana, pineapple. Vanilla melon. Very light geranium.
    • Finish
Long and peppery finish, minty orange blossom.

    Quote Whiskyfun 14th jan. 2014:

Littlemill 24 yo 1989/2013 (52.9%, The Whisky Agency with Acla da Fans, hogshead, 304 bottles) Colour: straw. Nose: this time it's more tinned fruits than fresh ones that we're having, rather around peaches and melons, then tangerines. A little more vanilla and honey as well, blood oranges, flowers. Peonies and just distant whiffs of lilies. With water: I'd say pink grapefruit and natural leather. Mouth (neat): once again, it's a zesty, half-tropical one that goes down only too well. All-vitamin juice, tangerines, maybe a slice of banana, a mild kind of honey and, just like in the 1990, a little sugar. Barley sugar, of course.

With water: textbook slightly rounded citrus. Lemon pie. Finish: long, now with added touches of mangos and papayas, but this is no Bowmore 1966 (no kiddin'?) Comments: all perfect. Classic. SGP:551 - 90 points.

This one was very enjoyable.  Thanks, bpbleus!
    • Nose
Fruit cocktail.  Sugared peach juice.  Gardenias.  Rawhide. Lemon curd. Hints of honeysuckle.  Pound cake.
    • Taste
Thick and cloying.  Buttery.  Sweet barley.  Papaya and pineapple. Banana bread (without the walnuts).  Corn syrup.  Small hints of lemon and orange.
    • Finish
Medium long, with tropical fruit.  White bread dough.
