Elegant fruity smokes, quite identical to current releases, perhaps with a bit more body and lesser sweet. Pleasantly ashy.

These older White Horse Bottlings are awesome, I will be sorry to see this bottle finished. Get some of this if you can, an absolute belter of a whisky.
    • Nose
Sweet peat, tar, brine old leather, some smoke and tobacco.
    • Taste
Very smooth and warming , the peat is there but complimented beautifully by the sherry. I get some coffee cake, blackberry chocolate creams, The longer you leave it in the glass the more each mouthful tastes of peat, it just keeps going but never swamps the sherry.
    • Finish
Long, smooth but a sherbet peaty fizz right at the end.

first bottle drunk, correct in the hull line we know at Lagavulin
By cons second bottle, almost unrealizable taste of cap ... have you had this kind of sensation or problem ???????

    Colour: Golden

Nose: Oily peat, sea air, hint of sweet caramel

Palate: Initial sweetness yields to a building intensity of rich peaty nectar

Finish: Refreshing balance of spice and peat smoke, ends with a generous amount of barley
