    Auchentoshan American Oak NAS | 40% | 20 + 19 + 20 + 19 = 78pts
N: Weak, oiled, caramel, dried bananas, porridge from nuts, a little cinnamon and pepper.
T: Light, bittersweetly sweet, some sweet and hot spices, nuts, coconut in the distance.
F: Medium length, empty, light spices and cinnamon.
B: Faceless and uninteresting whisky, but you can't call it a failure either. Not worth the money.

The first whisky of this distillery is aged only in bourbon barrels, the first filling. The name refers to white American oak growing in Misouri and Arkansas

    • Taste
      Waniia, citrus, coconut, hay
    • Finish

I really like it because of smell. Its very relaxing even if I am aware that taste after that disappoints a little (but of course, its NAS)

Jo, is not the best whisky ever bottled, but pretty tasty. Typical Auchentoshan grassiness, not too little bourbon barrel, lots of citrus. Smaller deductions, because despite the intensive Fassreifung clearly youth is herauszuschmecken. It does not bother so much, I'll give it another try ...

Useless whisky. Very young and underdeveloped, unpleasantly spirituous on the nose. Very malty with bitter aftertaste. I have no idea who will buy it second time after tasting once.
    • Nose
Rather sharp, spirituous, vanilla, lemon zest, green apple, honey notes
    • Taste
Malty, spicy, creamy, a bit sweet and buttery
    • Finish
      Short, warm, malty, slightly bitter
