He can do something. The flavors are beautifully matched, nothing is in the foreground, everything very harmonious, very soft. And although he is so soft, he gives a nice variety of taste impressions, which then continue until the departure.
    • Nose
A nose that smells of early summer. Flowering honey, the smell of a cut nectarine, apricot pulp, mango slices. The fruitiness will come from the Madeira barrel.
    • Taste
Full and creamy. Thick as fruit buttermilk, while pleasantly mild on the tongue. The fruits from the nose also appear on the tongue. Mild curry spice, a little rosemary, some mint. Hardly malt, but pleasant oak aroma.
    • Finish
In the finish, which is quite long for a 40%, the malt is a little stronger and becomes a toffee candy. Apricot and nectarine are preserved for a long time.

Tasty and typically Irish. You can just chuck it away. I like it, but it just has too few percent to be intense enough.
    • Nose
fresh grass clippings, yellow fruits, mirabelles, lemons, mango, pineapple, green bananas, light honey, light chocolate, minimal smoke, parsley
    • Taste
soft, velvety, slightly watery, ginger, cinnamon, medium dark chocolate, green bananas, mango, lemon, light grapes, green tea, almonds, olive oil, para- and pecans, butter biscuits
    • Finish
almost medium-long, spicy-warming, with dark chocolate, ginger and nuts, then again the grass clippings, the banana and some cappuccino ...

    • Nose
      85 85
Thin, less aromatic than the 16. Caramel, cranberry, lime and a little hazelnut.
    • Taste
      87 87
More Cooley style, the peach and marshmallow 'foam blocks'. Orange, caramel and hazelnut.
    • Finish
      87 87
Peach, marshmallow and a little caramel.

Some very classic and enjoyable Irish notes, but it’s a little too syrupy and sweet.
    • Nose
      87 87
Grassy, juicy, copper, kiwi juice, grain alcohol, Peaches in syrup. Fat, sweet, syrupy nose.
    • Taste
      85 85
Juicy, peaches in syrup, kiwi, apricots, lychee, vanilla flavouring, tin, very sweet - towards artificial. Splenda
    • Finish
      84 84
Fruit cup, grassy, nectarine, kiwi, peach, syrupy - bordering cloying. Syrupy sweetness lingers

      grapes, honey, spice cake, dark chocolate, a little vanilla;
    • Finish
      long-lasting, harmonious warm finish,

That's really something else. Very light, fresh, sweet and despite the "only" 40% not too thin. Reminds me in the taste of sweet herbal lime. I suppose that if you stay longer, I might discover some notes of bright fruits away from grapes and pears. If you like this style, you will enjoy it.
    • Nose
A spring flower meadow. And a very decided sweetish note. Is already a very own mixture; At 21 years old, drum notes are usually more audible, here the age makes itself felt in a tender furniture policy note for me.
    • Taste
This Bushmill is really different: Very sweet, now the furniture polish stands out and yes, there are some ripe light grapes and some pear as well. All very soft, 40% are not much; Even very delicate cheese flavor mixes with the sweetness, which is still dominated by the furniture polish of an old wardrobe.
    • Finish
The finale is short and remains sweet, very slightly cheese-aromatic and furniture polish-dominated.

A significant increase to the 16er. But the start is too watery again. The finish is then much more filigree and complex than the 16er

  8. autowatch092 scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

    Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Fresh peaches, dried apricots, mango, vanilla, butterscotch, polished wood, hints of nutmeg.
    Palate: Exactly like the nose.
Finish: Very long and very fruity.
Overall: Even the low bottling strength cannot detract from the massive fruitiness of this dram. This at cask strength would be very hard to beat.
