  1. Archer scored this whisky 84 points Connoisseur

Interesting barrel selection, which provides some sweet fruit and spices. Mulled wine feeling is guaranteed.
    • Nose
      84 84
Sweetish-fruity nose with spices and spruce needles. The fruit note smells of baked apple, peppered with cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, juniper berries, bay leaves. A little pepper, with lots of vanilla.
    • Taste
      85 85
Dry and spicy with sweet fruit. Also some Hubba Bubba chewing gum in the taste raspberry plays with pure. Herbaceous and with grated spruce needles. Tree resin. Peppery. Some licorice
    • Finish
      84 84
Medium to short, dry, resinous, fruit sweet.

    very original, exciting and tasty
    I like it
    • Nose
      full vanilla / fruit
      behind it sweet wood
and some juice from a fried herring
      Aniseed - Cachou (fair sweets)
raw dough with a lot of vanilla
Licorice anise with herbs and seasoning like this
      full, aromatic, full and oily
    • Taste
Pepper and spice in the onset, fried herring juice only as background,
lots of vanilla (raw cake dough)
Caraway, cardamom, anise, licorice, herbs all from the cachous
The vanilla sticks to the palate
it remains sticky vanilla sweetness on the palate
at the second swallow also clearly a medical taste
    • Finish
Medicine, vanilla, wooden board, seasoning, cachous
the finish comes again, if you give it time
with very sweet baked apple juice
and later you have the cachous in your mouth

  3. Dalm did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

Aroma: fruity, sweet and spicy, dark fruits, red wine

  4. Malthead19 scored this whisky 78 points Connoisseur

    - A nice successful fruity tasty whisky
    - interesting combination of the barrels (especially this Glühweinaroma) => something new, but probably also splits the whisky world ...
    - I would have expected a bit more depth
    • Nose
sweet intense fruity first impression, plum, plum, currant, dark berries and any particular very special fruity note
    • Taste
soft fruity onset, becoming stronger, oak noticeably increases, very intensive taste of dark fruits, sherry, plum, spice, berries, Christmas spices, distinct aromas of mulled wine recognizable (very interesting)
    • Finish
      medium length fruity warm finish;
      long, dry, strong finish

  5. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

Nice whisky, unschottisch, but good. Maybe nothing for every day.
    • Nose
Sweet, ethereal, eucalyptus, pine, some fruit, vanilla, slightly alcoholic, sawdust. Interesting, you notice the non-Scottish origin, but that does not bother.
    • Taste
very strong, peppery, the pines, eucalyptus notes hold, idiosyncratic notes of wood, spices, some sage.
    • Finish
Warm and peppery, this is where the sherry and wine come through for the first time, as the woody notes take a back seat. Long, pleasant finish.

  6. Albaron scored this whisky 85 points Specialist

You can tell that it is not a Scot, the taste but not demolition, delicious, independent, although the pepper sharpness might be a little weaker
    • Nose
At the beginning a bit spicy with pepper and also sourish, fermented light fruit, a bitter undertone, grape seeds, but then also a subliminal sweetness, like sugar water
    • Taste
The pepper dominates here at the beginning, then it turns to the bitter, but at the same time the sugar water, a little ripe honeydew melon, the yellow, then a little young wood and in the transition to the finish again something peppery or is it youthfulness?
    • Finish
The young oak dominates here with the subliminal sweetness of the honeydew melon and the sugar water

  8. breste scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

Very fruity nose - green apple and peach, a little pine needles. The taste of the apple, citrus fruits are added. Light tingling remains on the tongue, very fruity and quite short finish.

  9. Sonett scored this whisky 71 points Connoisseur

Reminds me more of a schnapps than a whisky
    • Nose
Nose of spruce needles, pine and juniper berries
    • Taste
Sharp and a taste like the nose
    • Finish
      Medium long without surprises
