Unfortunately, the price in auctions are mad. While I still want a bottle for myself, I managed to get a sample. Thanks Mikio!
    • Nose
      91 91
Sweet and sultry feeling. Creamy and oily.

Vanilla bean, salted Normandie butter. Olive oil, fish oil, parsley and mint.
    • Taste
      92 92
Sea breeze and samphire. Smells and tastes so damn good. Sweetness from some berry like thing topped off with honey and corn flakes.

Plenty of smoke and pepper all round, not harsh yet subtle nor overpowering. Yellow raisins and poppy seeds. Addictive!

A herbal basket, spring forest greens.
    • Finish
      94 94
The sea meets the coast and the inland. All in one sip. From the salt, to the herbal coast and to the sweetness of inland vegetation.

      Long and constantly evolving.

If you have the possibility to try a dram of this bottle you should definitely go for it as it is a very special and very good Kilchoman! If you think of buying one bottle for almost 200€ there are better alternatives! Especially all First Fill, Refill or Finish Sherry Casks are affordable for 100€ and have the same quality!
    • Nose
The Oloroso finish is in the nose as you have some fruity sweetness that makes the nose quite special! Nevertheless the Bourbon Barrel is the main influence therefore you have the typical salty smoke Islay vanilla peat nose :-)
    • Taste
Wow very nice taste that I need to formalize now: The taste is definitely topping the nose.. You have honey, sherry, cherry, herbs some honey, a lot of salt and smoke and pepper. Even for its young years it is quite complex as it changes tastes all the time :-)
    • Finish
A lot of herbs and sweet honey smokey barbecue sauce finish. Lovely!

    • Nose
      Color: Golden amber.

Strong vanilla with citrus fruits, caramalised brown sugar and sultanas.
    • Taste
Sweet toffee up front with a hint of marmalade, dryness and a long peaty finish.
    • Finish
Long and clean with rich smoke and dried fruits.
