This was the first single cask of glendronach that I bought from the new series. I thought it was great. I ran back to the store when I tasted it, but unfortunately the shelf was already empty.

  5. The Macallan scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

This is a great Glendronach. Full sherry flavors, very rich.

There's a thin line between love and hate!
    • Nose
Rich, sherry, Dundee orange marmalade, dried fruit (apricot) (reduced: timid, more warm fruity aroma's, a chocolate toffee sweetness)
    • Taste
Sherry and wood, sweet and dry (reduced: fruity, floral?, caramel, winey, spicy, drying, woody)
    • Finish
Fruity spices, warm and in the back some peardrops.

  6. WhiskyOss scored this whisky 86 points Expert Junior

This is a Whisky that you really like or really hate. There's nothing in between...

I like it but only after bringing the alcohol down to around 46-47%. By then the pepper is only present in the back and the true Pedro Ximinez sweet flavour pops up.

Add 3ml of water to 20ml of the Whisky to bring down the alcohol from 54,1% to 47%...
