TASTING NOTE (LMDW): Color: old gold supported. Nose: rich, expressive. A particularly herbaceous and spicy peat (clove, camphor) springs from the glass. It is supported by green licorice and bitter chocolate. Its marine dimension is highlighted by notes of salt and spray. Its fruity register is dominated by kumquat zest and mirabelle plum jam. An acrid smoke is becoming more and more dense. Palate: affirmed, elegant. As for the nose, peat immediately takes possession of the palace. However, she does so with great tact, as she brings with her pumpkin, zucchini flower, spices (ginger) and gentian. Without seeming to touch it, it continues to grow in power providing a lot of dynamism to a smoky end of mouth and ash. Final: saturated with smoke, vegetable and liquorice, the peat has become drier. Notes of straw and cut hay illustrate its sunny character. A light sea and saline breeze comes to refresh the atmosphere, Tobermory village with its colorful houses is in sight and the stills distillery of the eponymous distillery escape the fragrances of a distillate both fruity and peaty.
