He goes almost completely over the Smoky-Hickory note, but it knows halfway to please if one stands on such. Variety looks different.
    • Nose
Beautiful fine woodsmoke, oak chips that char slowly between heather grass, reminds me a little of the Campfire of High West, plus a little freshness and sweetness of citrus, grapefruit and lemon vllt., But only a very subtle flashes briefly, otherwise pure bacon
    • Taste
Smoke, dried seaweed, then spicy oak, some honey probably. The intensity of the smoke changes again and again, cereals are there, malt, everything stays in the dry-smoky spectrum
    • Finish
Again, nothing changes, dry smoke, some crushed nuts vllt, medium long, nice and warm

  2. didi1893 scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

This malt is extremely smoky. The fruity sweetness and the spicy wood harmonize well with the pleasant smoke. An interesting and delicious whisky.
    • Nose
Fine smoke mixes with fruity sweetness. A hint of peat, citrus and spicy wood adds to the pleasant smoke.
    • Taste
A hint of smoke, then spicy wood and sweet honey. Cool and fresh, then smoke again. The smoke becomes more intense and biting. Nevertheless, fruity sweetness comes through the smoke. A fine nut aroma arises.
    • Finish
Again spicy wood and smoke. Long and harmonious, the finish exudes cozy warmth and spicy wood.

    Thanks to Niek &
Ilse who brought me a miniature.
    • Nose
      Wet wood! That is the
first thing I smell when I put my nose in the glass. This is immediately
followed by hazelnuts and nougat. Earth, too. Then it becomes quite malty. Good
      nose.
    • Taste
      The arrival is soft
and mildly spicy. The peat is rather discrete and allows grain cookies, white
bread and a hint of oranges and nuts the footlight.
    • Finish
      The finish is short
with a hint of dark chocolate and cloves. Walnuts at the death.
