Amazing complexity and a lot of pleasure in the mouth.
a bit vinous, irremediably sherry, the firm side of the wood is pleasantly raised by sweet vanilla spice and the lightness of small acid spades. Rather round and engaging overall
The attack is again typically sherry with chocolate, dried fruit, morello cherry but oh surprise! immediately gives way to a surprising citrus freshness (pink grapefruit?). A subtle equilibrium is then set up and goes back and forth between the seriousness of the sherry (to touches of fleeting wet cellar wood) and a bitterness in nuance. A very nice fight in the mouth.
Bitter almond and raisin goes on for an intense finish
