A very pleasant young Glenfarclas who I personally like better than the 10 and 12 standards. 45%, undyed and unfiltered, that makes a difference; alone in the finish shows me something slightly metallic-oaky youth, which prevents even better rating. The barrels for the main Glenfarclas market (outside UK) France were obviously chosen very carefully. Only a few drops of water make the Malt again fruity in the nose and on the palate; the finish remains a bit bitter-bitter.

The Speysider lies in the glass with a rich straw yellow - and the Glenfarclas bakery is immediately present. Meadow blossom honey, hay, pleasant freshness; slightly metallic. Youthful, but dense and intense, not one-dimensional.

Very dense and compact, honey, hay, a few bright fruits such as not quite ripe apricot and the like. The oak makes itself felt. 45% and the lack of cooling filtration give a very typical "Glenfarclas taste", namely those from the honey bakery corner.

In the finish, the youth apparently appears with a slight bitterness between oak and metal. The honey and fruit notes are also there, but disappear first.
