  1. Kantenmechaniker scored this whisky 78 points Connoisseur

Nice and uncomplicated nose, but in the mouth I'm just annoyed by the 40%, that doesn't help the already monotonous whisky anyway.
    • Nose
quite light, floral, lots of vanilla, creamy, a little green apple, a little marzipan, slightly nutty, very lightly grated lemon peel, everything mixed in a spoonful of yoghurt, very pleasant
    • Taste
starts floral, light sweetness, vanilla, yes also apple, quite thin from the mouthfeel, I just don't understand why you dilute to 40%, if you make your mouth full enough, then enough taste will come through
    • Finish
Apple, slightly sweet, a few nuts, herbs, becoming more floral, not very long, but it leaves a fresh feeling in the mouth

  2. wbarchive_875995 did not rate this whisky Expert Junior

Compared to Superstych, tried just a little earlier, this is weak. Not hooked.
    • Nose
Ripe pear, sweet apples, apple jam, perfume, liquor, milk chocolate, honey, caramel.
    • Taste
Meets notes of coffee, ginger, dark chocolate, nectarines.
    • Finish
Empty, short, bitterness of perfume with chocolate.

Incidentally, the Auchentoshan memory is not in my daily form, I have tried several times and compared directly.
I still think it's really delicious, with under € 30 a bargain, but I also like Auchentoshan. ;-)
    • Nose
I did not have the 10s for a long time (since some design changes) and was surprised at first - is that Auchentoshan? When pouring and in the first minutes there is the typical, fruity (somewhat artificial) Auchentoshan house aroma! It passes, then honey, caramel, a hint of banana is still there, a little salty freshness.
    • Taste
As you enter, a somewhat artificial, slightly tropical-bitter Auchentoshan fruit salad rushes by again, then milk chocolate, honey, some salt and pepper, medium-bodied, nice mouthfeel, not too thin, and after a while also good wood and spice. Really delicious.
    • Finish
medium long, dry, spicy, cocoa, mild pepper

Very nice, nice item for little money. Fruity, in aroma, beats the aroma of ripe orange. The taste has everything and the sweetness of honey, citrus flavors and grain notes.
    • Nose
      delicate, ripe oranges, hay, chocolate
    • Taste
sweet, honey, cereals, citrus, a bit of bitterness
    • Finish
medium, sweet, pleasant with a coffee aftertaste, honey and bitter.

  7. Gweddry scored this whisky 81 points Expert Senior

    • Nose
slight decay, forest honey, bread, mead, sultanas, vanilla, heavy syrup sweetness, sweet grapes, boiled apples, wet paper
    • Taste
sweet, honey, donuts, brioche, malt, tanned oak, then salt, at the end pepper and spices, bitter
    • Finish
bittersweet, buns, malt, meadow honey, vanilla, oak, nuts
