The nose is really appealing: the sharp bitterness and narrowness of the taste just makes it a little less than it could have been. The sharpness could be an asset for sure but here it seems to play down the palate. A rather good one anyhow .
    • Nose
Initially, without water it is Clyne for sure but quite closed and boozy with the wax, banana and some vanilla. With water it turns to a full tilt fruit-bomb: strawberries, melon and honeydew, beeswax, stronger banana and honey. Very sweet and full.
    • Taste
On banana, dried figs and some waxiness. It is rather on the bitterish side, no fruit-bomb for sure. Stays rather narrow also with water, turns maybe even a bit more sharp.
    • Finish
Mild dried fruits and some banana.

Bottler is Hunter Laing, not Douglas Laing.
