  1. Gaija scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Not your everyday dram indeed, try to try this if you can.
    • Nose
After three different non-bourbon HP's (9151, 9549 and 9481), this feels like a relief, and something much more interesting all in all. Peculiar profile, very distillate-driven on unusual notes of shoe polish, fresh cream, "at the ski shop", cake dough. It's quite shy and it would deserve more of my time. Lemon meringue pie, some flowers. Advocaat. Very interesting, not your everyday dram.
    • Taste
Again, more chiselled and purer, but shy and difficult to decipher. Cocoa butter, ovaltine, discrete fruits. I wish I had more time and concentration for this. Alcohol could be better integrated.
    • Finish
Some light mineral smoke appears for the first time. Green apple on the end.

    Very balanced and strong.
    • Nose
First, some vanilla and honey in the nose. Then white grapes with a little alcoholic touch. In addition a sea breeze.
    • Taste
Strong on the palate first. Then some oily and malty aromas. The smoke binds discreetly with salt in the second start pleasant with a. Becoming a maritime.
    • Finish
In the aftertaste remains only the sweetness of honey and then pleasant long green oak without smoke.

  3. malthead-sven scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

beautiful Highland Park, round and balanced, does not need water
    • Nose
First vanilla, sweet and restrained, oranges, mandarins, dry straw, smoke is very subtle, herbs, lavender
    • Taste
strong onset, sweet and woody then, on it again decent smoke
    • Finish
Pleasant and balanced, medium in length, a little vanilla and oak with, floral, some anise and herbs

  4. Drochaid scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

Nose: A gentle smoke sneaks around in the background. In addition a malty sweetness, freshly cut barley and some fruit fruits.
Palate: A hint of smoke followed by some pear and apple juice and a delicate cinnamon at the end.
Finish: Smooth smoke with apple notes and warm spices.
