Whisky Reviews for Ledaig 1997 GM
8 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.19 points
Earthy and farmy peat. Toffee, hay, orange, gingerbread, cherry, raspberry and cow pat. With water plum and a little peach.
Briny peat, orange, toffee, raspberry, dark chocolate, cherry, beer and spice. With water apricot and a little raisin.
Peat, dark chocolate, orange, gingerbread, toffee and raspberry.
- A true beast, wild and untamed.
Cured ham (Schwarzwälder Schinken), cow stable, wet peat, seaweed and more of that, but also some fruity elements (pineapple and apple pie) and a tad waxy (furniture polish).
Full-bodied to say the least, in which the peaty elements dominate. There's also pepper and fruits (some lemon kicks in).
Long and lingering, raw and salty.
- N: young, new spirit, seaweed, pepper, oily, wasabi and syrup
T: grains, peat smoke and citrus
F: citrus, vanilla, pepper, oily and spices

- finally, a well drinkable Ledaig (okay, you can`t compare these to the 1972 vintages).
overall: nice ashes, campfire. A typical winter whisky 85p.
