Whisky Reviews for Cameronbridge 1978 DT

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 84.60 points

  1. Abadon05 scored this whisky 86 points Expert Senior

Weirdly sweet and a beautiful mature Grain. He is even more harmonious than, for example, a 28-member colleague of Invergordon. For the age a reasonable price, yet just under 90 points.
    • Nose
Typical grainy notes. Cereals, honey, sour apple, marshmallows, light cinnamon and vanilla nuances. Beautifully integrated, the alcohol burns only minimally. With some time, the vanilla notes and the marshmallow sweetness increase significantly, the alcohol is no longer burning. Even a slight Nussigkeit can be seen.
    • Taste
Very sweet with a certain spice. In addition apple, citrus, cereals. But this sweetness binds it great.
    • Finish
Medium to long. Again, the sweetness remains dominant. Sour apple and cereals. Reminds somehow removes these adhesive features in a Bourbon. The seasoning is still there and becomes clearer. Minimal coconut notes.
