Nose: flower meadow, propolis, smoked plum, sea pebbles, decaying bonfire, rural farm
Taste: harsh, but nice ... plum, honey, varnish, acetone drop
Finish: long enough ... warm, honey, wine, varnish

I'm more of a fan of older bottles.
But here I was pleasantly surprised. Only 7 years?

Really almost complex in the nose. That's where everything comes through. Citrus fruits over honey.Bulb Helene bedded in straw. Nice vanilla note with hints of pineapple. Some caramel in the peat smoke. Wow.
    • Taste
      86 86
Wonderfully oily in the mouth. Subtle smoke in the background.
Honey vanilla mixed with grapes under a few melons. Straw-laid leather with a slight peat taste.
    • Finish
      85 85
Medium to long and slightly peppery. It remains sweetly fruity and at the same time a little bit of espresso bitter.

  3. Stanzeflasche scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

It smells like wheat. Vanilla, hay, some iodine, salt, a hint of caramel and wood in the background.
Vanilla is really deep in the mouth, but it's not too sweet. It is round, woody, oily, a little grassy, and a rather long finish, fruity, frangipane, chocolate pears, syrup, a little peppermint, with the very slight bitterness of caramel, and lychees.

  4. Hupsende Hippie scored this whisky 88 points Expert Junior

Whisky such as whisky is meant. Smooth (despite the 50%), pure, balanced and tasty. I can recommend it to anyone! I had this in a tasting alongside the Classic Laddie and Laddie 10 and I clearly thought I could taste the difference between Islay Barley (this) and Scottisch Barley (the others). Terroir matters!
    • Nose
Lots of lime, green apple, little cinnamon
    • Taste
Apple, white chocolate, hazelnut, wood. Little spicy.
    • Finish
Wood and hazelnut linger, along with a little apple.

Fresh and crispy, I like it. Nice fruity - a lot Brennereicharakter No high flyer, but good
    • Nose
beautiful fruity nose, cinnamon, bitter orange cereal notes. Pleasant alcohol note.
    • Taste
Gravy juice, lemon, vanilla, bitter almond and honeydew melon.
    • Finish
      medium-long - dry

  8. Marko_I did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

Again, a nice, crisp, interesting Islay Barley, with 55 € a bit steep for the age, but the power makes up for it, you can buy, if you like it young and strong.
    • Nose
without water, dusty-dry, woody, dry, old hay ... with a few drops: pear compote, fresh hay, lime, light cinnamon, some caramel and honey
    • Taste
rather strong, sweet (malt & honey), white Haribobar, citrus bitter (lime, grapefruit), grass, a hint of juniper / gin
    • Finish
long, fruity-bitter, grapefruit, reminiscent of gin, white pepper

    • Nose
Malty, fresh. Green malt. Lemon juice. Quite herbal. Lemon balm. Fresh coriander. Pleasantly aromatic.
    • Taste
Crisp, crunchy. Fizzy on the tongue. Very fresh and clean. Obviously young.
    • Finish
Short, sherbet. A note of almond milk in the back.
