It has a very harmonious taste and a great complex nose. So it should be in old age. Old school the way you want it - a beautiful dark fruit sweetness and spiciness of the barrel flood the palate. The 43% are very, very good. A really great old Strathisla.
immensely dark and the best overall of the six whiskies in the six G&M Strathislas sold in a case; where this wins is in the delivery rather than the nose, reminding me of the fruitiness of my Lochside. Delicious!
