Aroma: thick malt, citrus, lemon, lime, vanilla, banana, pickle, oak bark, mint, sea spray broken on the stone on a hot day, iodine, very delicate smoke pulling from a distant fire.
Taste: bright, hot-ginger, malt, vanilla, muffins, salt, honey, fresh mint, a bitter bitterness, some tropical fruits in the background.
Finish: fading spiciness, sweet citrus, vanilla, malt sweetness, medium length.
Bottom line: a perfectly made NAS, I liked even a little more than the base 12, with its richness, although its taste is slightly simpler. Distillery which I recently discovered for myself and which struck me with its distinctly sea character against the background of sweetness!
