[December, 2017]  This review is on batch L230513 (hence bottled on May 23rd, 2013).  I bought this bottle for 79,50 Euro in October, 2014.  The colour is deep copper and the texture shows medium fast legs and sticky tears.  The nose offers a light sherry and vanilla-toffee profile with hidden fruits and honeys.  Nicely balanced and delicate (and not a single trace of sulphur: What a great cask selection for this batch!).  It arrives smooth and creamy on the palate with no distracting moments (but no significant coating effect either).  The taste is vanilla and sherry sweet with some spices and wooden flavours.  Again very delicate, but a little simple too.  The finish is of medium length and even sweeter than the taste with a minor drying feeling (papers) at the very end.  Water is not needed.

A delicate and easy quaffable dram without much complexity.  One to drink when I am not in the mood of exploring drams...

    But not bad!
    • Nose
Very soft, fruity aroma. Oak, a little vanilla, marzipan, honey.
    • Taste
Very herbaceous, herbs, cloves. Much better in the nose, a little bit behind in taste.
    • Finish
      Short and fruity. Enjoyable.

Great casks but not to much sherry. With water even more fruits. Quite an expression for 40% vol.

    Concerning price/performance ratio: 8/10
    • Nose
Vanilla, oranges, caramel, apples, raisins, red fruits, some sherry in the back, ginger.
    • Taste
Spicy sherry oranges, caramel, apples, some honey, pepper and ginger, chocolate in the back.
    • Finish
Medium to long. Oak and sweet pepper, ginger. Getting a bit dry.

Tasty for a joint event with Duthoron and his friend Pedro. I'll get better and more interesting than Glengoyne's 15 yo Distiller's Gold I have at home.
    • Nose
Heavier, varnished, with bitter strong chocolate, a lot of heavy wood, a little thin, sweet, a bit of conifer, a little menthol, windiness, and a slightly spicy spice. (85 b)
    • Taste
Extremely gentle and smooth, interesting contrast to the fragrance. Milk chocolate, milk cakes, Toffifee candies. (85 b)
    • Finish
      Light, soft.

Compared to a few single cask offerings and this one is not too distinctive.
    • Nose
Rather mild sherry cask influence with oranges, peaches, raisins, vanilla, creme brulee, a handful of pepper and cinnamon. Alcohol is well integrated.
    • Taste
Soft, rounded, but rather thin at 40%. White sugar, cherries, grapes, honey. Not overly complex, but perfectly drinkable.
    • Finish
Quite short, sweet with a hint of pepper and ginger.
