- I fully subscribe to the notes of Igor Popowitsch ! Thank you !Only the points are a bit different, because I have to keep the balance to my other personal rankings. But that is only a side note. Nevertheless I give a very good "86" anyway. Get it while you can !
- A very simple, straightforward single malt. Very drinkable even neat, despite the high strength.
- Spectacular value for money! Takes up the cudgels for all the underestimated younger whiskies.
The opening is dominated by nutty notes with hints of herbs. With time it gets more and more fruity. Oranges in the beginning, but the more time, the darker the fruits. Behind all this an idea of smoke and beeswax. With water it flattens a bit.
An invasion of sweet sherry and malt, balanced by quite impressing woody and spicy notes (especially for an 8yo). Very drinkable for its 58,6%. Fruity with something like maraschino cherries.
All these fantastic notes fade out in perfect harmony for a long, long time together with the nutty and smoky notes from the beginning.
