explosion of fruit, it causes and it requires reflection!
floral sweetness and fruit basket anyway!
    • Nose
fruits on peach, apple, pear too, poached, on vanilla, field herbs just after a downpour.
there is glue, wood, spices quite pronounced.
    • Taste
it is honeyed, confectioner, we also find lemon cooked, meringue, then the fruits of the nose but more in withdrawal
      wood but drier

A simple bottle, an ugly label with a nice whisky. As it should be!
    • Nose
Mostly bourbon-like smell. Vanilla, combined with oranges and slightly dates.
    • Taste
A very strong fruit flavor (salsa) with again the vanilla tones.
    • Finish
The rundown keeps an average of lamb. A fresh but spicy taste remains on the tongue. The vanilla rules and the fruit follows.

Very fresh and floral. Of the sweetness that emerges. Lemon and even lemongrass! Good surprise ! A little toffee. With water: lemon tart! On the palate, delicate and elegant, it remains a little dry. Flowers that will persist in the finale. With water, the sweetness increases and we have rather lively spices.

    Enthusiasm 4/5

Exciting bladnoch. For my taste (today) almost a little too ethereal.
    • Nose
Wonderfully sweet, fruity, mineral nose. Light fruits, quince (some honey), citrus, a little yeast, a touch of oak a mixture of fresh wood and old plank floor.
    • Taste
Tingling bitter entry, quite a bit of bitterness, oak, lemon peel, tea.
    • Finish
Pepper, citrus, a certain bitterness, some oak.

    Serge says:

Bladnoch 22 yo 1991/2013 (47.8%, Pure Spirit, bourbon) Pure Spirit are a new independent bottler from France. This is one of their very first offerings. Colour: straw. Nose: it is a zesty one, hurray! It’s relatively light after the heavy-ish 11 yo but I certainly prefer this kind of complex waxy, citrusy, almondy and slightly mentholated profile. Touches of yellow chartreuse, lemon squash, crème de menthe, maybe a little tar and then more and more lemonade, with a slightly spritzy and chalky side that even gives it something a little medicinal. Baked apples too, some cider. Mouth: it’s a bit like peppered lemon juice, if you will. Or a cocktail made out of lemon squash, black pepper and ginger tonic. Very singular, rather different for sure. After a few seconds, we find also chlorophyll (gum), green tea, quite a lot of lemon balm… And it remains a little spritzy, while other citrus fruits start to come though, mainly grapefruits and citrons. Pure Bladnoch! Finish: pretty long and even zestier. A handful of lemon drops. Comments: it’s quite tart but that’s the style I was expecting. Again, a genuine Bladnoch and a style that’s nowhere else to be seen. Well selected, Pure Spirit! SGP:661 - 89 points.

A very nice whisky, on which I would have come back several times, always with a lot of pleasure.
    • Nose
Seductive nose when approaching the nostrils. Hazelnut, chocolate and a good pack of fruits. Ripe fruit, like pear with its procession of bees around, but also peach, apricot perhaps. Very nice in any case. It is clear that the alcohol lurks, but it remains docile. It is well balanced. In time comes lemon meringue. Go, if we stay the course, we address the 90 points.
    • Taste
The texture is pleasant, and the primary sensation is cereal-chocolate. One remembers the fruits of the nose, a little disappointed, saying that they are here much more packed, less expressive, too bad. Time and water will raise them a little, but that will not fundamentally change the balance. Like the nose, alcohol is relatively discreet.
    • Finish
A finish of medium length, with our fruits, but always a little evanescent.

pale gold color, very nice fruity nose, lots of lemon, yellow fruit, some vanilla, floral notes and cut grass. In the mouth the alcohol is well integrated, many acidulous fruits, especially lemon, a little vanilla. Good length, slight bitterness always a lemony freshness. A rather original Bladnoch with this lemony side very marked.
