    Simply very very good.
    • Nose
      Superb and original nose.
      Yellow, white fruits. Big dose of camphor. Egg white? Rhubarb, lemon.
      Floral. White flower.
      Very cool. Fresh mint.
    • Taste
      In the mouth it is slightly sweet. Gingerbread.
      Candied lemon, aromatic herbs. Thyme, rosemary.
      Always camphor and eucalyptus.
      Lemon, citrus fruits. Grapefruit.
    • Finish
      Long finish on the fruit, sugar syrup, chewing gum with eucalyptus.

    Banff 36y 1976/2013, 49.8%, Cadenhead, small batch, bourbon hogshead, 192 bottles
    Aromatic nose full of fruits and minerals. No glue, no - or little - garden herbs and mustard. But a lot of fruit. Pineapple, banana, kiwi (pisang), hard pears, yellow plums, pink grapefruit and mandarin. Great expressive. Then those minerals. The smell after a summer rain shower, polished silverware (a typical element apparently), candle wax. Heather and hay provide a stimulating touch, vanilla for a sweet one. After some time the scent will get a pharmaceutical side. Awesome! Soft, juicy oak. Complex and layered nose. The taste is equally expressive. Fresh profile. This is ensured by minerals, grass (the dried variety again), herbs and citrus fruit. In terms of herbs I think of eucalyptus, ginger and pepper. Stinging. In terms of fruit there is mandarin, grapefruit and some pineapple to note. Almond nuts and oak provide some extra character. The candle wax returns in the second part of the taste, just like the vanilla. Long, slightly drying aftertaste, where the herbs pick the net from the fruit. Banff without the classic angle (the glue, the mustard, to a lesser extent the dill, they are missing here). And I find that regrettable somewhere, but that is made good by the aromatic and complex character of this whisky. In general, not as good as the 1971, or just not so special ... Easier, though. Both merging gives a pearl of a whisky. The Dead Whisky Society is like the abrasive Mark Lanegan, the Cadenhead as the polished Isobel Campbell, and together it gives sparks. Deus Ibi Est. 92/100

    Color: Odd denseness is spooky. As if a bitter sign of flavor of Bourbon Whisky · Nose: a sense of uniformity, pyroligneous wood vinegar. Strange bamboo, charcoal. Attack: Tree feeling. Surprising berry system. It is not so-called care-of medicine. Body: Tea ceremony with hollow feeling. Match of delicate middle classes. Taste: Is it still chemical? Is it bamboo? Is it an oily explosion of Zippo lighter? I can not feel it, my foolish beginner for the first time. There is a sense of unnatural lemon in the barbecue, but there is no oilyness attached to the hands of Zippo lighter. It's better than sour Banff, but is it consistent? If there is unusual taste? Do you enjoy Banff 's gambling ability? Even though there is a strange apple feeling over time, is it a poison or healing? Syrup feeling slightly nutritious. Finish: By returning Hinata Natsu. There is no sour mango feeling, shinchiku does not get dismissed. If you drank Whisky from the 20th century, are you a delicious explosion? Well, I like Whisky, more like experience! Because you never drunk it? Because you never drank this? Or Major Distillery Banzaiism? Anyone can do it, but this cup was a scarce work that I thought wanted to be drunk by a great pioneer beyond taste.

    • Nose
      My God, what a fruity nose! If you though that there would be too much
      wood in there after 36 years, you would be greatly mistaken. This is very soft.
      Citrus, kiwi, gooseberries. A little bit sweet and sour and waxy. Evolves
      nicely in the glass, towards leather and silex (flints). A touch of motor oil
      and loads of vanilla. Hazelnuts. Very aromatic and interesting.
    • Taste
      It is slightly oily and immediately fruity. Now the cask does put its
      foot down with pepper, mustard, menthol and ginger. The fruit is mostly oranges
      and grapefruit. A little bitter, but not over the top. A bit grassy. You would
      be forgiven for calling this complex.
    • Finish
      The finish is long, warm and a bit drying.
