- Besides the Ultimate cask strength Longmorn's, the Tamdhu's certainly belong to my favorite. The smell, the taste and the recognisability of ingredients, that I leave to each his own judgment. After all, it is a different experience for each of us. Cheers!
Sweet and sour, initially the sherry influences are not that clear. It needs a bit of time and water to get it more open. With water: Indeed it opens more up with sherry notes. Although there is a little off note in the background.
Oemph! This one needs water. Without water it is quite a sherry bomb. Loads of sweet raisins, red berry's and other red fuits.
Medium and round
Medium-long length. There is the obvious sherry influence, but also quite some vanilla and caramel.
Don't know this was a given sample
The Ultimate is alway sober and decent.
I like it quite a bit, but it feels a bit too much 'finished for a finish'.
- I like it! The price/quality is very good.
Sweet associated smells, honey, dried fruit (plum, fig), though a bit on rubber too.
Full bodied, a little hot, mainly on the honeyed barley and fruit. The rubber association stays too.
Still hot, slightly drying (which is normal), with fruit and ginger.
