One dram note. This whisky feels really young and unbalanced. Not really that far from white dog. The overpowering grappa note made it taste like an aquavit.
    • Nose
      Sour, fruit, caramelised nuts.
    • Taste
Hot, sweet, lots of grappa in this one, sour grapes, slightly floral. Adding water turns the whisky into wet cardboard and young barley spirit.
    • Finish
Medium with more wet cardboard, somewhat spicy and sweet, unbalanced

  2. Magnus Hillman scored this whisky 77 points Expert Senior

A lot of people I know are absolutely flabbergasted about this one. I don't know why I'm not as impressed. It might be that we had a 25 year old Highland Park 20 minutes before this one. I have to try it again for sure.
    • Nose
wet paper bag, grappa, nutty with balanced oak and barley spirit. It feels very young (way too young actually imho).
    • Taste
Nutty, sweet and sour, again grappa and spices. It's rough, young and the flavors compete rather than integrates.
    • Finish
Short to medium in length, bright and a bit rough. There is no second wave returning in this finish.
