    Mortlach 1995 - 2013, Barrel number: 1206, 55.4% alc.
Bottler: Kierzek (in the Senior Selection)
    Region: Speyside, Scotland

Special feature: Single cask bottling (146 bottles) for the wine shop Kierzek (Berlin, Lichtenberg).

Nose: really fruity start. Only tropical with mango and banana, then juicy apples and some lime. Then malt and sweet pastries, some crumble cake and cookies, shortcrust pastry, but always with the fruity / sour note. Gooseberries are also included.

Palate: Unusual. First very fruity with the aromas of the nose, then briefly spicy with pastries. At the end right earthy, leaves a rustic impression. Some oak and green peppers, pepper and cooked meat. Porcini mushrooms. A true degree walk.

Finish: Long and warm, dominated by oak and earthy notes, a hint of champions. But here again the straightforward fruit.

Conclusion: The nose powerful, the palate but also quite "different". All in all a very interesting single malt.
