Not really a typical Springbank. It's cask driven by the sweet port cask and some gentile peat. When adding a bit of water, there's a note of that 'Campbeltown orangery' like i call it.

What should I say ... I find the endgeil!
    • Nose
I'm standing on the part ... Really nice, juicy pipe smoke with slightly sour blackberry flavor. A sweet leather note and liquorice. Very full with lots of berry notes. Herbs, dark chocolate, vanilla. Moist tobacco and wet wood. Slightly salty and moldy water. With time in the glass cloves and nutmeg come with a pinch of cinnamon. Smells like gingerbread dough. Personally, I find that the alcohol is very well integrated. He just brings a slight mental coolness with him. There is still a bitterness that reminds me of cold espresso.
    • Taste
Tough, honey-like, spicy onset. The subtle pipe smoke is now more sweetish. Nut chocolate, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, cherries ... a fruit basket. Herbs, cinnamon, vanilla and tobacco. The bitterness in the taste is more nutty and woody. Cereal and a pinch of pepper. But everything is somehow picked up by an oily sweetie. The alcohol suits me and brings a subtle sharpness, power and freshness.
    • Finish
Long and spicy. Some pepper and again the gingerbread spices. Moist, sweetish tobacco stays longer. The track smoke, makes the overall picture complete!

So I love Springer, on the one hand, the smoky old-school character has and at the same time a sweet influence positively fights against it.
    • Nose
You notice the port immediately, super sweet and great honey, hazelnut, brown sugar, heather meadow, peach and glazed apple, walnut, you can easily tell the Oldschool Springer, but the smoked oak briquettes stay further behind
    • Taste
Peach, red apple, walnut with brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, red, juicy pear, milk chocolate, chestnut, hint of incense, hazelnut and honey
    • Finish
Dry, dark malt, cardamom, mead, cinnamon, chestnut, cocoa powder, long

In the nose comes first strong alcohol, probably a cask strength. Then red fruits, a little smoke, seasoning. All this is very intertwined with each other. A little later, the fruits are sweeter.

In the mouth it starts very strong, full-bodied and very spicy. After that it becomes fruity and always sweeter. The individual flavors are very difficult to grasp. The spice goes towards cinnamon, slight spiciness, maybe a little cardamom. Then come red fruits, red wine, mead.

The finish is medium long, sweet with light cocoa notes and a little smoke.

With a little water, it is a bit rounder and more pleasing, with a slight sharpness remains noticeable and the spices are very present.
