- Tasty Glen Keith. Well balanced.
- Quite powerful and spicy, good fruitiness and a mature woody notes - excellent
Very nutty, dried fruits, raisins, toasted bread, salted caramels, spices, nutmeg, buttery, hints of vanilla - very good
Punchy, liquorice, more nutty, spices, little herbal, little woody, little sweetness, cooked fruits, mashed apples, cinnamon - great
Long, warm, zesty, spicy
- Wax exotic fruits honey vanilla, a very enjoyable dram
- The cask was very active and gave it all to this, stellar malt and a prime example of top of the line Kieth.
Jens you killed it with this one!
The nose... Well it's full, lunch and very rich. The typical Kieth notes of cream soda and cedar are there, but there's so much more. Candy sweets and soft essential oils. Hints of mint and multivitamins. Dried grasses and hints of pork fat. Fruit and rich, more and more fats, pineapple and mango.
The palate is wow. Loads and loads of body, hardwood, more sugar sweets and dried leaves. White cedar chests and hints of farmy notes. Lively malt, but it seems both aggressive and shy. The fruit salad continues with syrup poached lychee and apricot. Vanilla bean milkshakes.
The finish draws very long and sweet. Malt and oak play with the mint and pepper. Cardamom and coffee cake with melted vanilla ice cream and orchard blossoms.
- Tasting Notes:
- Compared this one to Signatory cask 120554. They are in the same league, although that one is much more 'silky'.
Honey, orange, apple syrup, white grape, apricot and vanilla. Some pine wood, a bit like Badedas shower gel. A whiff of glue. Quite heavy although the main notes seem gentle. Water makes it more oaky.
Honey, apple juice, vanilla, caramel, wild peach, orange and yellow raisin. With water a slightly musty note like brie cheese.
Apple, yellow raisin, honey, orange, caramel and pencils.
- Very nice whisky, classy and delicate while offering a nice power. He promises to feast after a few months. Tasted blind.
Round, greedy. Vanilla and mint tip. Some stewed plums. A little herbal. Tertiary aromas after a few minutes. With water he becomes monolithically very farmer. Not necessarily an evil but it's radical.
Classy attack at the texture level, it's creamy. Controlled power, a lot of fruits.
Long, on the banana, a little wood.
