    • Nose
Fresh, slightly alcoholic. Dry earth. Green apples, limes. Somewhat moldy wood. A touch of chlorine.
    • Taste
Sweet. Honey, light grapes, white wine. Some pepper, walnut. To end wet cardboard and vodka lemon.

I believe the casks used in this vary from 9 to 25 years maturation.

New and blindfolded. Do not regret!
    • Nose
Starts mainly with citrus and light sherry. Nice fresh with grasses. Also some butter.
    • Taste
Sweet onset, warm mouthfeel. Balanced fruit, brown sugar, honey, vanilla in the background. The whole thing is caressed by oak.
    • Finish
      Short finish, beautiful Sherrynoten

Pleasant to drink, but unfortunately I lack something here the complexity. Also, the barrels have not had too much influence. I think here mostly Second Fill was used ...
    • Nose
Fresh grasses, slight Sherry note comes through, a trace of citrus, Overall, the nose is still quite restrained. Now there are fruit notes, some honey and yes, that could already be some oak that comes to light.
    • Taste
pleasant mouthfeel, apples, citrus fruits, then getting sweeter, honey
    • Finish
a sweetness with nuttiness stays on the palate, a little chocolate. The finish is quite short for my feeling.

TASTING NOTE LMDW: The Knockdhu distillery surprises with a new detonating single malt! Silky and balanced, the third edition of this An Cnoc vintage is named after the New York Scottish artist who saw it born. This single malt, crossed in disorder by a cloud of spices, heady flowers, fresh fruit, beeswax, salted butter caramel, citrus and coconut, finishes at the end of the mouth by a magnificent fruit composed of small distinct drupes, raspberry.

Profile: heady. White chocolate, flowers (lily, honeysuckle). Spices (gray pepper, star anise). Fresh fruits (pear, plum), almonds and green olives. Beeswax, acacia honey. Color: old gold. Nose: heady, firm. White chocolate and flowers (lily, honeysuckle) precede little spices (gray pepper, star anise). Tender, it spreads on fresh fruits (pear, plum), almonds and green olives. She gains gradually in creaminess (beeswax, acacia honey). Palate: silky, it is very different from the nose and feeds on melon, infused plants (wormwood), salted butter caramel and malted barley (bowl of cereals). Citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit) invigorate the finish, while notes of vanilla and coconut gently soothe the palate. Final: balanced, rather saline. It leaves mostly yellow and white shades to take slightly apricot colors. Some red fruits are also appearing (strawberry, raspberry), unmistakable as they are delicate. Raspberry is gradually taking over. The grains of her skin are fleshy and her flesh is soft. The retro-olfaction evokes a raspberry ice cream. The empty glass adds cinnamon and a hint of ginger.
