So this bottle of Kavalan I need to buy home. It is so pleasing to explore and every sip I found something different. No age statement due to different aging. This dram got me really interested in Kavalan and one of the top drams I've had due to it's complexity. Great PLV as well
    • Nose
Very complex and full, wood notes and hints of fortified wine
    • Taste
The complete oposite of what I expected after the nose, very spicy and interestng, makes you sip more and more
    • Finish
Quite spicy but great, very nice dram

Nose : cherry, morus, rose water, redcurrant and liquerice
Palate : grape, cherry, rose, redcurrant with an interesting spike of morus in the development, which quickly settles down
Finish : short to mid finish

    Kavalan Vinovarik
It tasted like flavored brown sugar.

Taste This is also a subtle pineapple feel, an orange fresh feel
The chocolate comes right up in the rear.
There is also a bit of acidity, but it reminds me of lambic.
Last time, I took a small amount of the Kavalan pot that Dang Deuk-gu shared and tasted it.
If the pot was sweet and thick chocolate mousse wrapped in raisins
You can compare this to milk chocolate that you eat after taking a bite of a pineapple.
Plum, ripe cherries after adding a little water

    nose
    Yellow goes away quickly
Grapes, dried berries, chocolate, fig jam

Flavor Pineapple flavor (similar to when drinking kaolyangju) Blood Orange

    finish
Spicy and slightly greasy like olorosso, long lasting grape tannins.

    • Nose
Hot glue, like the smell you get from a lot of bourbons. But softer, sweeter. Not industrial glue. Rather those Elmer's glue sticks you used as a kid in arts and crafts. Blueberry concentrate. Peanut. Grape juice. Bourbon notes (oak spice, caramel). Cetaphil lotion. Red fruit now.
    • Taste
Glue. SO bourbony! Metallic. Drying! Sherry, but BRIGHT. Chocolate chip cookies, like in the best Redbreasts. Almost this triple distilled sweetness. The ripest Raspberry ever. Wafer cookies? Green hi-chews. Some pastries peeking out there. Almost translates to salt, but the pear brings it back. Green apple. Intense, vanilla and malty, Curry powder. Pineapple now. Lychee. Plastic. Rubber. Goes and goes and goes. At the end - lots of exotic fruit. Becoming Asian pear. fading and fading on that sweet, slightly tart note. Awesome staying power. Can keep this in mouth for 3+ minutes, the whisky changing all the while.
    • Finish
Tart Asian pears. Candied fruit. Oak, vanilla, bourbon. Hot to warm. The ripest green grapes ever. Exotic fruits. Vanilla - but more Madagascar vanilla ice cream than extract. Refined. Goes and goes.

Unbelievable. Lives up to the hype and then some. The progress of the flavor profile as it sits in the palate is significant, unique, and incredibly interesting. One of the best whiskys I have tried.
    • Nose
      Sherry, peanut, glue, vanilla, bourbon
    • Taste
Bourbon, cherry, pine, sherry, raspberry, rubber, lychee
    • Finish
Chocolate chip cookie, red wine, dry fruit

Soo overrated! Worth 100 euro not a penny more.

I prefer this to the sherry cask strength bottling.

The Solvent smell in the nose disappears after 15min in the glass.
    • Nose
Raspberrie, Blueberrie, Caramel, Blood orange, Hint of Molasses , Solvent ( Methylacetate).
    • Taste
thick oily mouthcoating texture, Raspberrie, Strawberrie,Caramel, Astringent, hint of vanilla
    • Finish
Long finish with again lots of fruits and ends astringent like a dry red wine
