There have only been 1 Kiln Dinner, and that was in 2013. This year there will be another event (at Glengyle).
The 20 people participating in the Dinner, was presented with 4 different cask of Longrow, and was given the task to decide what cask the bottles should be drawn from.
The price was £350 - in that you got the following:
Warehouse tasting event with Pops in Warehouse 3
1 Bottle - Kiln Dinner Longrow
Canapes, Champagne or Springbank 21 year old (and there was plenty), music in form of a lone piper. Oppotunity to mingle with Springbank staff. This part was done in the malt storage.
The Dinner itself - was done offcause in the Kiln - 3 causes with matching wine
Coffe, with Springbank 21 year old (again plenty) or the Longrow desided as the Kiln Dinner bottle (plenty) - this part was done in the still room.
As a side note it should be noted that the bottle and the case is signed by all the employees at Springbank, even the Chairman himself.
