Whisky Reviews for Littlemill 1990 HMcD

4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.25 points

  1. Astrid scored this whisky 82 points Connoisseur

Tired, bitter, immature - it shouldn't have been released as a single cask. Maybe there was something wrong with the barrel wood, because the distillate from Littlemill tries to score with beautiful, green and yellow aroma elements. 2. nulty scored this whisky 83 points Expert Senior

Too light, too young, too vegetal. The nose opens nicely after a few minutes, but nothing more. Tasted blind.
    • Nose
White fruit, maybe a little soil. Hyper fresh, made very young, herbaceous. Yellow fruits with aeration, which are expressed more and more. It's better.
    • Taste
Dry, with some nuts. White fruits, grapes. Beautiful power, a hint of ginger.
    • Finish
      A little fresh fruit, flowers.

  3. Jeep51 scored this whisky 85 points Expert Senior

Maybe a young malt, in any case it is well done, it is very refreshing but it lacks complexity.
    • Nose
Fresh fruit salad with mainly pear and peach. Honey too, but it's much lighter. Some traces of alcohol, but the whole remains delicate and without being transcendent. At aeration, it evolves to exotic fruits (pineapple) and there it becomes very nice.
    • Taste
The mouth is more present, more powerful than the nose. Again, there is a lot of fresh fruit. It's very straight, a mineral hair. Not a stunning complexity.
    • Finish
Long on pastry notes (tarte tatin, butter biscuits).

  4. Ras Mazunga scored this whisky 85 points Super Administrator

This whisky has the typical Littlemill profile but the smell and taste have too much alcohol for me.
