Whisky Reviews for Bunnahabhain 1973 AdF
5 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 90.77 points
- Simple and good, but really not much for a 40yo
Fresh, malty, citric, honey, dry hay, some green apples and bananas
Oily, citric, apples amd hay again, little oak wood
Medium short, little zesty
- Tasty at a very high level, but harmless, powerless.
Sweet, light exotic fruits, raspberry pineapple, persimmon, dates and greenwood, no smoke. Hints of honey and caramel.
Very oily, sweet and soft, very subtle salty note, takes a little until it explodes, then very late seasoning. Not very powerful. Something too soft
The sweetness is left behind and the oak is subtly replaced by the sweetness.

Nose: Salty sparkling freshness with sherry and orange notes, rhubarb cake, sticky honey, creamy tropical fruit (mango / papaya), Haribo fruit gum and oak.
Taste: Soft onset, orange juice, salt, tart leather, now fruit gum without fruit, malty sweetness, then bitter; Resin, notes of glue and paste.
Finish: Medium length, dry rubber, malt, caramel, salt and wet chamois leather. Remaining residues, but without fruit, bitter almonds and again resin.
Comment: Did not something tune with this bottle?!? The taste is very disappointing. But even after a second tasting from another bottle the same notes.
