Whisky Reviews for Braes of Glenlivet 1989 HMcD

1 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 87.00 points

  1. Cenarius scored this whisky 88 points Expert Senior

Very balanced, a wonderfully aged barrel
    • Nose
Sweet onset with tropical fruits, very soft and hardly noticeable alcohol at just under 60% vol. Could be a rum barrel, but I think it's a bourbon barrel. Behind everything is again a little old blend or grain.
    • Taste
Almonds and Amaretto. behind it wood, orange liqueur and a touch of old blend or grain.
    • Finish
Slightly shorter but just as soft in the mouth. The fruits remain on the tongue.
