Whisky Reviews for Linkwood 1969 GM
4 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 89.60 points
- Very fruity apricots peach banana guava some nice toffee and dried fruits notes from the wood, sweet spices and sandalwood very elegant
- Very bourbon-heavy, great Linkwood, yes, he doesn't have the great variety in the mouth, the nose deserves 2 points more than the rest, but still a great package without any missing notes.
Hottest bourbon banana sweetness on the nose, coconut goes with it, marzipan, banana chips, sweet sugar apricot, cane sugar, toffee, linen bags, macadamia nuts, almonds, butter, white chocolate
Apricot, lychee, peach jellies, banana jellies, a hint of salt, almonds, macadamia nuts, white tea, sweet tobacco, milk chocolate
Furthermore sweet, light malt, marzipan, cantaloupe, medium to long
- Really beautiful nose that leaves nothing to be desired. Whole fruit baskets open up to this wonderfully balanced vanilla and honey. Tasty also really nice, only the (too) strong oak and slight bittern notes in the finish here hail a top grade.
Really nice malt, for currently (November 2018) just under 700 € the bottle but there are also quite pleasant alternatives.
- Tasting Notes by SCOMA:
Aroma: Fresh fruit and herbal influences. Mint and watermelon with a hint of beeswax.
Taste: Ground black pepper with ripe banana, vanilla and a subtle edge cigars.
Finish: Long and fruity.
