Whisky Reviews for Coilltean 15-year-old Sa
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 91.38 points
- Pure quality
- With water
The nose gets even fruitier, and the palate even peatier and creamier with a long finish
Lovely stuff, the new Glen Garioch cannot hold a candle to this sort of quality
Similar to the 1975 Fragments of Scotland Samaroli but more fruit in this one, peat is very much in the background.
Mango, peach and mixed in a little raspberry put the peat is in the background, but you know its coming.
Wow, that's a peat attack but mixed with the fruit like the nose suggested.
Apple, plum, brine, peat, double cream and a faint ham note
Long, creamy and the peat growing all the time but never overpowering
- The name of the distillery is not mentioned, but the back label contains exactly the same description (flavors) as a 1975 Glen Garioch from Samaroli ;-)
