    Same bottle as:

  2. Calmar scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

A good sherry monster, I venture to assume Oloroso, dryish, saturated, the basis, unfortunately, completely clogged, manifested only in the aftertaste.
    • Nose
Open, moist, noble wood, furniture varnish, stain, dried mushrooms, burnt caramel, kvasnoe wort, prunes.
    • Taste
Powerful, sweet peppery, creamy notes, boiled condensed milk, kvasnoe wort, burnt crackers, caramel with sour, red tea.
    • Finish
Spicy, leavened wort, dried mushrooms, caramel, prunes, earth notes, pu er, citrus notes, light floral and mineral shades appear in the development.

  3. KayMeertens scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

A bit Springbank-ish, which is a compliment of course.
    • Nose
Cherry, sulphur, toffee, orange, mocha and peat. After a few minutes and especially when adding water, the sulphur disappears and it is replaced by apricot.
    • Taste
A lot of peppery spice. Cherry, toffee, plum, peach, peat and dark chocolate.
    • Finish
Cherry, toffee, mocha, raisin, peach and peat.

  4. Erik Elixir scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

N: egg with salt and pepper, fudge, whole meal bread and sherry influence with orange and raisins
T: bitter fruits, pine apple!? and meaty - gravy
F: drying with fudge and again the fried egg
    tasted with Aby
    sample available on www.whiskysample.nl

  5. aby scored this whisky 88 points Connoisseur

nose: raisins, caramel, sherry and yellow fruits

taste: great balance, honey, chocolate, creamy and a bit meaty

    finish: nice with creamy fudge

overall: a nice balanced sherry whisky from a distillery that has spoiled us with the strange Loch Dhu black whisky.  88p
