The really felt like it was the raw essence of Ledaig, young, herbal, smoky and with little cask influence. Lovely whisky, hopefully we can keep this one a secret for a while longer.
Vegetal peat. Lots of damp earthy notes. This is characteristic in a Ledaig but here's it's particularly apparent. Mulch. Wet Grass. Wet campfire. Some light floral notes coming through and just a hint of lavender. Green apples. Salty caramel lingers in the background.
More vegetal peat. Bitter mineral notes and brine. Slight bitter wood note. Still some good grassy and earthy notes here, but with less of that damp character. Vanilla cream rounds it off.
Bitter wood. Mineral peat. Ash. Pine cones. Light whiffs of vanilla and apple.
