Peat smoke, sweet, fruity (peaches, apples), milky, olive oil
Peat smoke, oily, creamy, sweet, fresh, hay, heather, leathery
Long, sweet, smoky, salty
- Nice, fat, sweet
Laddie (sounds a bit like me).
The nose is greasy
and sweet. Reminds me of suet. Or buttered milk, but smoky. Okay, that sounds a
bit odd. Sweet olive oil, as if that exists. But you know where I am going. Quite
some sweetness in the form of peach, but also sour Granny Smith apples in
combination with maritime, smoky elements. Cows in the stable while being fed.
I quite like this.
Boy, this does not
need any water. Sure, the attack is powerful, but it is not scorching at all.
Nice, sweet peat (reminding me of Port Charlotte, which is not very surprising)
with loads of hay, cow hide and polished leather opposite the fruit. Very
greasy, again, you can almost spread it on toast!
The finish is very,
very long, which is no punishment here. It dies on a mild salty note.
- In spite of the label saying "10 years old"
it`s in fact "11 years"
