Whisky Reviews for Highland Park Harald

- The finish could have been long lasting. The smoke is well-dosed. The whisky I think was in pretty intense sherry casks, probably First Fill and I suppose that there is also a whisky from a Rumfass contained. As I said, very consistent, Finish as a point deduction and the price could be a bit deeper.
- Nice and pleasant half board, something for everyday life and also quite good for beginners. Can you drink well?
Tropical fruits, lemon, pineapple, orange, berries, leather.
Creamy and smoky, vanilla, chocolate, the tropical fruits and the berries also gradually come through.
Slightly short, sweet and smoky finish with popcorn. Too short because actually very pleasant, I would like to have had longer.
- N/T/F: HP typical, herbal, erica, well balanced, not too sweet, mouthwatering - medium
does NOT take too much water well
- Weak dram, no character, light. It is very easy to get away, barely the idea that your whisky is drinking. This is by far the most moderate HP I have drunk. Especially for that money nicely on the shelf of the liquor stand ...
Salty, slightly peat, somewhat spicy, apple
Light, little peat. Somewhat tasteless, flat, watery. Some sweet, honey.
Pretty short, very light peppers, light peat and honey.
Burnt caramel, mineral rustic marine note with fresh berries and honey
floral smokes. Short on the usual alluring deep puffy sherry, but well
rounded with lightly sweet vanilla and soft spice of clove.
P- Crisp and light, heather honey with breeze of distant ashes. Underlay with poached pear and fresh nutmeg.
F- Medium length. Subtle smokes lingers with restrained spiciness, touch of grounded white pepper. Mouth coating.
