Whisky Reviews for Teaninich 1973 DD

- An absolutely great whisky that just so the last 5% rounding missing and some strength, both especially in the finish.
Passion fruit juice, wow, awesome tropics in your nose, floats straight into your thoughts, mango, pineapple, custard behind, a bit grassy and floral but with age changed, marzipan, full of honey
Here again surprisingly grassy, some licorice, very viscous and vllt. even a little weak with only 40% after all this time, but then directly also the pineapple juice, mango, marzipan, passion fruit, estherotes, grapefruit, blood orange
Bitter, tropical, grassy, not quite as pleasant as the other two parts, medium to long
- Dry and dusty on the nose.
Quite soft (watery) on the palate, monolithic.
Spicy pepper in the finish.
I'm definitely not a fan of old whiskys, and this one has a profile that reminds me of a grain whisky ...
