    • Nose
By the 43% a bit stronger in the beginning, than other "standard Whsikies" of this kind. Is in good. Malty sweet. A few almonds. Bright fruits - most likely apple and some orange.
    • Taste
Mild on the tongue, but mouth-filling aromatic. Malt and cereal notes. Less sweet than the nose. Also hardly fruity. For the almonds clearer with a very fine bitterness.
    • Finish
Rather short, but mild. No bitterness anymore.

Tasting done on a nearly empty bottle, a full one might be a tiny bit better
    • Nose
Sweet malt, citrus, vanilla, a touch of white chocolate
    • Taste
      Caramel, oak, nutty
    • Finish
      Dry, nutty

Nose and initiial taste is the standard Speyside nose. I got a lot of toffee/caramel, with a bit of citrus and some spice.

Finish sucked, just flat on flavour.

At $60 at duty free, this simply wasn't good enough.

This is not better than a blend. Only winning feature was that it's a bit above 40% (at 43%).

This last version is without charisma.
    Go your way.
    • Nose
Bu at a friend's house, proud of his acquisition. I tried not to grimace.
It starts well with a nose on dried fruits, lots of hazelnuts, vanilla cream, caramel.
    • Taste
The mouth is very bitter, on hay, wood and caramel. Alcohol poorly integrated.
    • Finish
      Short, bitter and woody.
