Whisky Reviews for Glenmorangie Artisan Cask

- Very nice indeed... a little Bourbon-like but what a shame I didn´t came across this one some earlier. The price asked for this would have it made to a real good daily dram...
- "One of the best Glenmorangie releases of the last ten years, this has
recently been discontinued and replaced by the hugely popular `Astar`
bottling. A terrific `Morangie. We have snapped up as much of the
remaining stock as we could get our hands on."
- It's exciting to have tried it, but I don't need it more often.
At the beginning a bit out of round, waxy, creamy, yellow fruit, vanilla, a little coconut, sweet base tone, floury apple, light spice, a little pepper, overall but mild, I don't have a lot of fresh wood or even hints of bourbon, now also floral, grassy, with a slight minty freshness playing a part, after the first sip then at least light bourbon hints, spice, almost Maggi or rather vegetable broth
Sweet, creamy, yellow fruit, coconut, a lot of vanilla, biscuits, also quite grassy, slightly woody, not intense, not really pleasing to me, the second sip is a little better
Rather short, apple, light acidity, waxy, apple peel, slightly sweet
clear grain note, butter, vanilla, butter biscuits, apricot, light alcohol, almond,
Butter, creamy, fruity, distinct barrel flavor, round, harmonious, butter biscuits
medium long, unspectacular, simple, delicious
- Enthusiasm 4/5 on the nose and the finale, 3/5 in the mouth. Whisky n ° 1316
Easy, toasted and vanilla. Not complex but very nice.
Simple, juicy, vanilla. Too simple ?
All smooth, sparkling and long!
