Very good refill matured Whisky but way over priced at 112 Euro.
Typical, a shy refill cask nose. Not much going on. Barley notes, cake dough. Slightly citrusy. Hints of tea and something herbal.
Slightly sharp and a rather fresh bitterness in the arrival. Very thick and creamy. Sugary sweetness, herbal notes. Spicy, a hint of sour orange and something dusty right before the finish.
Medium long, drying. Mostly on banana/ pine apple drops.

Ripe red fruit, banana, pear, vanilla, brown sugar, some nuttiness, some mint, some wood
Ripe red fruits, chocolate, brown sugar, nuts, some pear and banana
Medium long, a little bitter, slightly drying. Ripe red fruit turn into dark chocolate and die off at the back of the tongue. The chocolate and some mint lingers
- Don't expect an overly sherried whisky (although the sherry influence is apparent). It is a very interesting balance between the rich Dailuaine spirit and the cask. Very much to my liking.
Fresh forest fruits. Cranberry juice and brambles, and a heavier note of cherry syrup. Lots of herbs, thyme mainly, menthol too. There's a whiff of smoke and bandages. Slightly medicinal even. Very interesting and different.
Lots of nuts. Roasted peanuts, walnuts too. Some dark spices (pepper, clove), but also rich, red dried fruits. Again pretty herbal too. Cigar tobacco.
Slightly dry. Red fruits, nuts and fairly long.
- Quite complex for its relatively young age.
Starts with fresh fruit. But also grassy and flowery notes of hay and Heather. Later on more herbal; mint and methol. Hints of smoke.
Hot and spicy. Pepper, and cinnamon. Mouthfilling texture. Lemon and lime. Sweet maltiness and some oak.
Medium long. Hay like dryness. Also bitterness. Crisp malt.
